About Bromley

Founded in 1892, Bromley started out in the South London League and helped launch three competitions: the Southern League in 1894, the London League in 1896 and the Spartan League in 1907, which it won at the first attempt. After early homes at Queensmead Recreation Ground, Glebe Road and the Plaistow cricket ground, it moved to Hayes Lane in 1904; the present ground there opened in 1938.

For most of its history Bromley was an amateur and non-league club, winning the FA Amateur Cup in 1911, 1938 and 1949 and four Isthmian League titles. A modern rise followed: the FA Trophy in 2022, a first Football League place via the 2024 National League play-off final, and the League Two title in 2026, which took the club into League One for the first time.
