About Cray Wanderers

Cray Wanderers dates itself to 1860 and kickabouts between villagers of St Mary Cray, in north-west Kent, and the labourers building the railway viaduct across the Cray Valley, which would make it one of the oldest football clubs in the world, although the name is first recorded in 1887. It played at Fordcroft in St Mary Cray from 1898 to 1936 and later at Grassmeade and Oxford Road in Sidcup, and from 1998 was a tenant of Bromley at Hayes Lane. Its own ground at Flamingo Park in Chislehurst, approved by Bromley Council in 2016, staged its first league match in 2024.

Known as the Wands and playing in amber and black, the club won the Kent League four times and Isthmian League Division One South East in 2018/19, which took it into the Isthmian Premier Division, the seventh tier. Its best finish there was fifth in 2022/23; it was seventh in 2025/26 and stays in the division for 2026/27. In 2026/27 it reached the first round proper of the FA Cup for the first time.
